Loose Leaf Teas

Americans don't usually think of tea as being loose leaf but this is the secret to a great tasting cup of tea. With teabags, manufactures take the leaf and cut and tear it to bits. This process results in what we call tea fannings or dust. Americans, liking convenience and quickness have become accustomed to this taste but there is oh so much more flavor available if only we would use loose leaf. This is why the sachets are a good alternative. Sachets are much larger than typical teabags because they are filled with loose leaf tea which needs room to expand.

When using loose leaf you will need an infuser of some sort. There is an assortment of products that can be used to assist you with this process.
